Just finished watching the BBC’s wonderful 3-part series on Yellowstone National Park. You can get a DVD of the series and it’s well worth it – this is a many-times watchable programme.
The sound-recordist lives on the Yellowstone River, north of the park, and is an inveterate swimmer. His feelings fort he park are wonderful and full of the same stuff that lights my shaman’s heart … needing that oneness with nature in order to survive, and in order to get some understanding of the world. He says that many people believe America’s creation of this place – Yellowstone – as the first national park in the whole world some 140 years ago is america’s best ever idea? I wholeheartedly agree !!!
