We did the dead-heading of the roses today, got 2/3 of a barrow-load :-). All gone into the compost now. This should encourage the roses to flower again and fairly quickly. Cultivating – dead-heading is a form of rpuning cultivation – on the day relelvant to the part of the plant (flowers in this case) you want to encourage is an effective way of helping the plant do well.
